dynamically loaded articles

I really like this script and it is fulfilling it's javascript purpose. Only thing is I need this to work with javascript disabled.

I have successfully replaced the innerHTML <ul> list when getElementById is available but the "links" to the external files no longer work.

Is there another way to do this?

I can't use <noscript> as it does not allow XHTML validation because of the id duplication.

Any assistance would be wonderful.
