When you click and the image changes to a new image, there is a brief flash of white (kind of like a strobe light flash) between the images, which is not visually appealing. How can I eliminate this to make the image changes smooth and pleasant to the eye?

What is happening is that the "new" image flashes completely on the screen, then is blanked and faded back into view. This causes a "flash."
