Dragging a copy

After looking through the script code, I found that it actually creates a new div and moves that rather then moving the original, so was able to change a bit of the javascript to allow me to move the copy around, and make it look like a "drop". Still a little unsure of how i can make it change the background color of the div that it is hovering over...any ideas??
