Change Week Planner to "calendar" format?

I really like the slick , and I'm wondering if there is a way to use it (or some of the core code) in a regular "calendar style" application.

In other words, I'd love to have a monthly calendar with the same functionality, where a user could drag horizontally to create an event that would take up part of a day or span across several days.

Has anyone done something like this already, or would someone who's familiar with the code be interested in modifying the app to work this way for some sort of payment?
