All scripts that magically gives an UL list "menu features" I really like, and they usually come in handy.
That aside, there is one thing that is missing to really make this script truly usefull (In a commercial environment that is) - however it might be out of your concern to take this into account, and at the moment I havnt got time to start look at the code (Mainly since I havn't got use for it this moment, but when I do you'll probably see that I'll set the pace for this one,
What if Javascript is turned off? There should be a fallback here, especially since we are working with an UL meny styled by CSS. If I should be so bold and go where many men have been before me I could throw out an idea, it might not work - I wouldn't know since it's just theory at this point,
If the menu is default styled with CSS, for example this CSS code :
http://css.maxdesign.com.au/listamatic2/vertical02.htm
It isn't the same look, but thats besides the point for now, The point is that the menu will have a default look that works with no Javascript, meaning it's accessible by all. The Javascript however, when enabled, works the way it works today. The final result is a truly accessible menu, and while your at it you might aswell name it "Unobtrusive Slide out menu", it will surely give you more valuable Google hits aswell,
Nice work as always, you know your dhtml!
