Alf,
You're going to like this. I had named the directory where the images were located "nnn_update."
This line of code * img.src = img.src.replace('down', 'up'); *
was dynamically renaming the directory to "nnn-downdate." It took me a long time to find that out and it really made me laugh.
Something you might want to include in future tutorials on the subject.
Also, would you be available to perform PAID support for the pane-splitter app? My company is very interested in it, but we have encountered a few issues in making a working prototype.

My mistake: * img.src = img.src.replace ('up', 'down'); *
was the source of the problem. Your code has both lines.

That all depends on the size of the job. I'm pretty much working 24-7 as it is since DHTMLGoodies.com isn't my day job. But I'm open for some sort of arrangements as long as it's not a "grand scale" project.
