list based DHTML menu and positioning/lenght of the sub menu

I'm trying to use the list based DHTML menu and having problem on the positioning and the lenght of the sub menu in the different browsers: IE6.0 and Firefox/1.5.0.4 for macox and Safari. I have set the lenght to a specified numbers of px due to extremely long tab.
