Just to give people an idea and a flavour of how to maybe apply these scripts more inventively i have created a php script that loads a table of preselected famous people from a tabled group. Those that are selected are shown in a gallery on the right.
it allows multi-row slection...see previous thread)
The beauty of this is that you can save a page state and it saves the (changed) selections back to the database so when you access the page again the changes will be updated.
Better if done in AJAX i guess. Slight delay with save as it calls same page and updates db. Will change it when i have time to be AJAX-driven.
If people like it, guess can give it to Alf to put somewhere
PS To test that it works, just close the browser after you have made changes and Saved them...you will be back here and just reopen the page from link above.....
WARNING: if someone else has made changes after you have saved and reloaded it will contain their selection

PPS In fact i think i will incorporate the AJAX thingy

Linking this sort of application of the table-row-select with other scripts on this site can make you realise what a powerful web-site interface one can provide
