Multiple Instances of Image Slideshow

I would like to use multiple instances of the image slideshow on a page. I am using a script from 2006 called "image-slideshow.js" which is combined with a lightbox script when thumbnails are clicked.

The first gallery image slider works great. The second gallery slider on the page does not slide and the rollovers do not work. However, the lightbox does function when the second slider thumbnails are clicked.

Is it possible to have more than one instance on a page? If yes, how would I alter the code? I can provide the code if anyone has ideas.
