A calendar inside a floating window

I have trid to add a previous popupwindow into a floating window with some calendar "controls" (not the last calendar methode). If open the celendar it opens "under" the floating windows in a funny way (coveryig the whole screen). Is ther anything specal I have to remember when I try to use other DHTML methodes in a floating window?
