How to update a pane content

Hi I used this nice script to update a specific tab in the centerpane. It works in FF 2.0 but not in IE if there are more tabs in the pane.

The pane is updated with a table widget. I believe when I start this script only the first part of the table widget appears in the pane to update, but not the second part. It seems to me the second part of the widget is written at the end of the very first tab in the pane because in this first tab there are added tableWidgetPageHandler objects after this script is finished. Any suggestions???
