tab and focus problem in IE7

First of all many thanks for the great scripts!

I am trying to validate across a number of tabs. When submitting the form if there is an error in an inactive tabs then IE(7?) will say "Can't move focus to the control because it is invisible, not enabled, or of a type that does not accept the focus" and continue posting the form.

I used the code in a previous and which seems to be fine with IE6, but not IE7. My alert statement indicate that the tab to which the focus needs to be changed is correctly found. However the showTab(index); does not seem to be switching to that tab. I noticed that the function has two params, i.e.:

function showTab(parentId,tabIndex)

while in the post only one is used. What am I missing here?

Just a WAG but parentid is probably 'east', 'west', 'center' etc so you can use the function for any pane. Probably changed since that post.

Good guess which prompted to try to find a much older version of the code which actually had only one argument in the function. I was mislead by the fact Mozilla works fine but not IE7.

The parentid is dhtmlgoodies_tabView.
