I am trying to modify the Image Slideshow html code to display my own pictures. I find that if I code for more than the original number of 8 images then the previous and next arrows do not function. There are in fact 9 original images supplied. If I take the original html code and simple amend the code to include the 9th image (as there are only 8 coded in) then the previous and next arrows cease to function. I have checked out the .css and .js scripts and can find nothing that would limit the number of images.
I am testing on the Firefox 3 and IE7.

Ok. Fixed. I couldn't believe that this site would offer a piece of code that could not be amended so simply. So I spent the evening testing. I found that the fault is with Kompozer. The code includes a null div.. <div id="slideEnd"></div>. It appears that Kompozer corrects the code and assuming that a null div is superfluous, it deletes it. I got around this by adding <br> in the div. I do not understand why the the null div is necessary but the previous and next buttons fail to work without it.

In the event that some DHTML knowledgeable person does read this post..
I do not understand why the slideEnd div is required, as it is not referenced anywhere. I would be grateful if someone could educate me and explain why this div is necessary to the working of the code.
