well currently TEXT Edit Widget supports only two models
Input BOX , SELECT
without validation for input box.
i think passing an extra argument of ObjType of values (TXT,NUm,TXTNUM,DATE,Email) in addElement method and checking user input at onkeyup event and allowing only required data using REGEX will solve this problem.
i tried to do it but no success.
also i hope using Calendar Widget to pick a Date and saving the Date picked in input Box and on sever as well, will available soon
or if it can be done right now then do tell me. how ?
