keep text in autoComplete

Hi, I want to use autoComplete to find clients already on the database but if the I put a name that is not there I want that when blur the field the text on the field keeps there. Now if I put "Rodrigo" and Rodrigo is not on the database when i blur the field it erase all text there.

Does anybody nows how to work like this. Thank you very much and best regards.
