I've made great progress combining the drag and drop code with database-driven elements and some other dynamic ajax functionality and it's almost working nicely...
However, I've got an issue and sure could use a bit of help:
1. ondrag, the transluscent div is offset (down and to the right) by a significant amount and seems related to the content above the mainContainer div. I've played with CSS position and display attributes in the mainContainer div (and the one above it) with no affect and don't want to mess with the JavaScript unless someone smarter suggests what to change. Eliminating the div above it does remedy it, by the way.
There are no tables on the page and the presence or lack of iframes somewhere on the page do not seem to affect the above-noted behavior.
I can provide a secure URL to anyone who has an interest in taking a look (the feature is in development and not yet publicly accessible).
Some tips or places in the code to adjust are most appreciated -- however, I will pay a real expert with this stuff who can quickly solve these issues -- would love to get these new features launched asap.
Another feature I'd like to implement is a simple "handle" for drag and drop (a bar across the top of the element) so that the remainder of the div isn't "hot" but does drag along with the handle. Others have posted that question and no one has replied to them.
Thanks,
Craig
