Set Height and Width to vertical-strip gallery Images

It's a learning experience... but I can't figure out how to set the height/width to the image on display. I played around with the css, but it keeps messing up the thumbnails too.

This is the page I'm working on:

As you can see, the images are very large normally.
Can somebody please help me, or at least give me some clue as to what I could try. I'd greatly appreciate it!
