Passing database field data as parameters

Am using ajax tool tips and would like to know how do I pass field data from the ajax-tooltip page e.g [id] to the tooltip page, so that it shows data relating to the field [id] in the tooltip.

Okay solved first problem - am working in asp -

onMouseOver="ajax_showTooltip('demo-pages/ajax-tooltip.asp?param=<%=recordset1("idcategory")%>',this);return false"

and then used

response.write request.querystring ("param")

to see if it was passing the values. It's working after a fashion but I'm getting the result written like this

9?=undefined or 10?=undefined.

what is undefined here and how do i correct it

I solved the issue. In ajax.js starting at line 84 is the following:

if (this.method == "GET") {
var totalurlstring = this.requestFile + "?" + this.URLString;
this.xmlhttp.open(this.method, totalurlstring, true);


remove the bold text.

that fixes it
