MODIFICATION to allow MULTI ROW SELECTION

Just an afterthought...

The more astute amongst you may realise that this can be easily configured, with small amendments, to be used in the unobstrsuive table sort in order to

PRESERVE (CURRENT) SELECTIONS

after a table is sorted

Might get you all thinking

PS AS SOMEONE HAS JUST ASKED ME ) the keys [a,b,c,d,e] must be depressed BEFORE and DURING mouse-click

PPS Why didnt i use SHIFT and CTRL for these actions?

Well Firefox has a bug, or more accurately lacks the feature of , (some see it as a bug for some reason hee hee) of not being able to disable the text select feature of the SHIFT key (standard across all browsers). So using shift + mouse key will work but would select all the text in the table between the rows as well. One can do it in Explorer ... but then again i avoid it if i can

Can we modify this script such tht we can select multiple cells onclick and highlight an individual cell on mouseover instead of the whole row as in the above script.

I tried doin it but couldnt do it as dunno much of javascript...

help me plz...
