Up and running with your calender

Postby kimss » Mon Nov 07, 2005 2:03 pm

Just wanted to tell you that I have successfully installed your calender in our CMS now instead of our old PHP based popup calender. Moving towards a dHTML calender makes it so much more dynamic in use.

You can see the calender from our demopage :
http://demo.easycms.no/admin/
Username : demo
Passord : login

Edit (clik on the Image) one of the Image pages, and then edit one of the articles. You will find your calender with the date fields from the Image icon.

You will by the way also find a "pre-version" of your slide-in pane, but this far from finnished since I'm planning an Ajax based help system for this one, I should probably remove the F1 feature but then again it's the demo and not the production version of Easy CMS.

Thanks for your great efforts Alf Magne.

Mvh,
Kim Steinhaug

Glad you found my script helpful.

* The sliding pane was really cool.

* Your calendar skin was also very nice. But I'm suspecting that you got an old version of the .js file. The bottom bar doesn't move down when you're looking at a month with more weeks than the previous. It also looks like the form is beeing submitted when I click on the calendar button in IE. Probably because of <input type="image">. The return false statement should have stopped the submission, but that doesn't seem to work in IE.

Calendar is excellent

Postby flash » Wed Jun 07, 2006 6:15 pm

Hi,

The Calendar (calendar.js) is excellent. No words for it. Works perfect for me in IE, Netscape, Firefox and Opera. It enables me to move out of a pop-up calendar which is terrible.

I used a <img ................onclick='displayCalendar(document.SearchForm.txtReturn,\"mm/dd/yyyy\",this)' > to display it.

The only trouble I had was changing colors for the calendar. Some how the colors are distributed in css and JS file. It will be good if you can move it to either CSS or javascript.

I wish I could show it to you. But currently I am in development box and thats not public.

Also I would like to know if there are any legal problems (I have kept the header as said in JS). This is for a commercial site. And I think it will give you good visibility. let me know of any issues that may arise.

About me I am a programmer, working for a major establishment.

Let me know,
Thanks,
Biju

Hello flash

Welcome to the forum :D

Yes, you're right. I should create a CSS class for the colors so that you don't have to declare it at the top of the .js file in addition to other colors in the css.

And yes: Your use of the calendar is accepted by the terms of use.
