I was looking again at your source code and see a couple of small differences between yours and mine.

Whether this makes any difference...well maybe you can try.

The thing I notice was missing div information that you seemed to have removed from the code....

I highlighted this in red below. It points to "maincontainer".....I wonder if this is important!! Also input radio should say input checked radio.

Anyways, here is my ajax-poller.php code...




I cant really think of anything else exept that maybe you should install the original poller without changes and see if this collapsing happens again

Thanks for taking a look.
I had actually changed the 'onclick' script subsequent to posting the link. The variation had been working on IE but disabled the 'cast-my-vote' function on Firefox for some reason.This is the version you must have seen.

So, it seems that the problem lies within the 'onclick' script. However, I will try modifying the <div> tags you referenced on your last post.

Meanwhile, I have re-posted the original version of the file with the original bug for you to take a look at if you want.

I've solved it Justin....

OK I now see what you mean after I vote and results are displayed....the poller jumps to the top of page & cropping (rest of page jumps up with it, hiding everything above poller under the header. This is also happening using IE6 also

I'm embarrassed I didn't spot this sooner.....ah well

You are correct to assume it is the onclick <a href="#" onclick="castMyVote.....the "#" causes this to happen in IE but not FF.

Replace the "#" with the actual URL of your iframe source....so for example, in my case the line to change in the ajax-poller.php will read something like this.....

<a href="/poller/ajax-poller.php" onclick="castMyVote(<?php echo $pollerId; ?>,document.forms[0])"><img src="images/vote_button.gif"></a>

Give this a try and it should keep your poller stationary stopping it jumping up the page
