Proper BACK Button Handling

Postby dhertzfe » Sun Jul 29, 2007 5:34 pm

Hey All,

What is the proper way of handling the BACK button of the browser within the DHTML Suite?

My users are getting aggravated when they use the BACK button and they are taken out of the application and they lose their data. I know after that happened to me, I don't use the BACK button anymore, but we are dealing with users.

Thanks in advance,
Dale

The easiest (and only that I have found) solution is to always open the application in a new window.

Hello kgregg,

Thanks for the suggestion. I too thought of that one and suggested it to management, but it didn't fly.

Are there any other ways of handling this issue out there?

Thanks,
Dale
