Here are some helpful tip for you when you practise your measuring skills using the triangulation method
- When measuring, try to imagine the angles as the hand of a clock (0-59 minutes).
- When you begin, start with the easiest angles. These are usually the ones that are closest to a horizontal or vertical line.
- While pressing down the ctrl-key, you can click inside the left canvas to make a "clock" icon appear at the position of your mouse pointer. This may help you determine the angles, especially in the more difficult exercises(with background picture).
- Try different exercises. Start off with the easiest ones which only have points. Then continue to the exercises with a background picture. The background picture makes it harder to determine angles and distances. However, this is much closer to how you would work when are actually drawing a picture.
- If you find it hard for your eyes to do these practises on a computer screen, we also have a pdf version which you can print. After filling in the missing points, you can see how you managed it by
dividing the paper in two and holding the two parts up against a light source(one paper on top of the other).
